    In anticipation of The Ella Centre welcoming our participants, staff and volunteers back, we have introduced an Entry Screening Procedure to minimise the risk of viral transmission to our participants and staff.

    The COVID 19 crises has been a difficult time for us all. The impact on The Ella Centre and those for whom we care has been significant. Not being able to provide our much loved group services to our long standing participants has been a huge challenge to everyone involved.

    We hope that all our participants, carers and members of The Ella community are keeping safe and well. 

    In line with Government restrictions, The Ella Centre is now offering 1:1 support, both in the home and in the community. Some of the types of activities currently offered are arts and crafts, going out to exercise and grabbing a coffee from a local cafe.     At The Ella Centre, the health and safety of our participants, staff and community is our priority. Due to COVID-19 and advice from the Department of Health, The Ella Centre is temporarily closed for service to the general public until further notice. We are looking at ways of safely offering support to participants during the pandemic. Our team is in contact with existing participants and will respond to needs on an individual basis.

  • Merry Christmas and Ella Centre 2 week closure

    The Ella Centre will be closed from Monday 24th December 2018 and will reopen on Monday 7th January. The last day for service delivery will be Thursday 20th December 2018, with Friday 21st being a staff only day. All participants/Carers should have received a letter outlining these details.

  • ELLA PASSES AGED CARE QUALITY REVIEW

    Every 3 years each organization that provides Aged Care has to undergo an audit of it's Aged Care services by the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency. This involves an external auditor coming in and reviewing our policy and procedures, interviewing service users and staff and ensuring our service meets the Australian Governments Aged Care Standards. I am pleased to say the Ella Centre has successfully passed the audit and meets all the requirement of the Aged Care Standards.  This is a great achievement and a credit to our Aged care staff.

    New Awning.

    The Ella Centre was visited by our local MP, Jo Haylen. Jo Haylen supported The Ella Centre through a Community Building Partnership Grant to purchase and install a much needed awning at the main entrance to the Ella Centre.
