Flexible Respite

Flexible respite provides carers of an adult with a disability with a well-deserved break. Best of all, you get to choose what sort of respite best meets your needs, including.

  • In-home respite
  • Out-of-home respite
  • Recreational respite
  • Peer support
Older Carers Program (OCP)

If you’re a carer aged over 60 (or 45 for an ATSI carer) and provide ongoing care and support to an adult with a disability, this program provides the respite care and support you need, so you don’t feel so alone. Respite care may include:

  • In home respite
  • Recreational respite

We can also help you put together a plan for the future needs of the person in your care, and connect you with other services that might be able to assist.

If you feel like you need some time to recharge your batteries, please get in touch.

Individual and Self-Managed Funding

If you have an individual funding package that allows you to determine how we meet your disability support needs, The Ella Centre is here to support you wherever we can.

The Ella provides services to adults only, 18 and over in all it's services.

This is usually achieved by:

  • Building your independence
  • Developing your involvement and participation in the community
  • Finding opportunities for learning and development, and
  • Encouraging good communication with families, friends and circles of support.

Want to make a difference in the world? As an Ella volunteer, you can! All you need to do is take the first step.
