Dementia Café
D-Caff is a small, friendly group that meets on the first Saturday of the month in a community based setting. This informal gathering provides the opportunity for carers of people with dementia and their families to come together with each other, as well as with service providers, to enable social interaction and the opportunity to make new contacts.
Over a cup of tea or coffee, carers and people with dementia can interact with others who are facing similar issues. It also provides an opportunity for adult children of people with dementia to meet others in the same situation. Staff from local services are also on hand to offer information and advice if required.
